Struggling with the persistent memory leak issue in Throne and Liberty, I embarked on a quest to fine-tune every conceivable in-game graphic option, hoping to alleviate the problem that plagues the gaming experience. Despite my efforts, the only measure that seems to offer temporary relief is shutting down both the purple client and the purple talk. However, this solution is far from permanent, prompting me to explore whether the memory leak is rooted more in the purple client than in the in-game settings.
A noteworthy observation is that even after a complete exit from the game, the client continues to run in the background. During this post-game phase, it not only engages the CPU, GPU, and RAM but also appears to utilize the hard drive for a minute until it fully shuts down. This led me to speculate whether the issue might be associated with preloading shaders, considering the continued hard drive activity after exiting the game.
While acknowledging the possibility of a driver-related problem on my end, particularly for users of the 3070 ti or any other 30X series on the 546.33 driver, I am eager to learn if others are encountering similar issues.
