I began some days ago in offline mode, partly to test various ladders, but mostly to test the player settings.

My question is, can holy shocker/ Tesladin be used as a ladder-starter and beat hell? I've tried holy fire and it was enjoyable.. It carried me extremely fast through an nm act4 however it died, which is why I went back to fohdin and am struggling to get through Act 2 and 3 hell because I'm not an undead or demon.

I have x2 spirit peasant crown, hand laying.. Smoke. Shitty rings , shitty belts and tearhaunch boots. I also have an increase of 3 to combat abilities along with a few life points on an amulet.

Are you able to accomplish just the "bare minimal" using these? What can I do about the AR? I have a sorc on the NM region that I can harvest Andy to upgrade If I know what to be looking for.. I'd like to get this working without x2 dreams and frustration.

AR is definitely a problem when using elemental zealers, and you will likely hit an obstacle in the middle of. I've tried both frost and the ligtning with excellent gear and they were very unimpressive. Physicals zealot has lower immunity, has a higher leaching rate and has more AR. Your merc is also an amazing creature with an aura of fanatism.

If you are absolutely determined to get this, Crescent Moon is a decent, but not expensive weapon to use. You could also think about Guardian Angel as an option that can be used for the AR boost against demons as well as the ability to increase your skill.
